Hi All,
I am seeking some advice on how to help some struggling bamboo plants. The bamboo on the left of the picture is thriving, the bamboo on the right has lost its colour and is not growing. They are in a type of planter box which may add to the issue. We have insured we have watered it, fertiliser with nitrogen.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Mitch
Hi Mitch
Unfortunately, we didn't receive you photo.
Firstly I am assuming that your bamboo is of the clumping variety.
Because of the height of bamboo it can be affected by wind. The roots need to be secured firmly in a stable pot, if the root ball is not firmly planted then the roots may move in the wind and the newly forming roots be broken. Bamboo requires a lot of water when in a pot, water daily during the warmer months and cover surface with mulch to stop evaporation.
