A rhizomatous, low spreading perennial with lance shaped leaves arranged in whorls on hairy stems. Small yellow, pendulous flowers are borne on the upper leaf axils of the erect stems.
Soil: Moist, slightly acidic soils with plenty of organic matter. Keep well watered in summer
Maintenance: Very low maintenance plants. Propogate by seed or division.
