I have three 10 metre high Elaeocarpus Eumundi trees which are being eaten by clustering caterpillar. They also have a bug living in the leaves, perhaps thrip? I have attached photos
Thanks
Melinda
Hi Melinda
Unfortunately, from the photo I cannot see the bugs clearly. Your best option is to take a sample of the leaves (in a sealed bag) to your local nursery and ask them to identify the bug.
As far as the caterpillars, you best option is remove any infested branches that you can reach.
