I have a Eureka lemon tree in my garden that is around five years old and a decent size.
It produces a lot of fruit most of the year round and they are huge.
But here's the problem, they are also very thick skinned and not very juicy.
Do you know what to do to get thin skinned and juicy lemons???
Hey Vera, thick lemon skins and juice-less fruit tends to be the result of a nitrogen/phosphorous imbalance.
As citrus are gross feeders of nitrogen gardeners will often overdo this nutrient, not realising that too much will inhibit the plants ability to absorb the available phosphorous.
Your tree will look very good, with lush and glossy foliage, but the fruit will be disappointing.
The remedy is to ensure you use a fertiliser that is balanced especially for citrus.
We have one in the Garden Shop, here's the link:-
