Hi, I have a 2 year old Lots a Lemons that is producing fruit for the first time. Half the fruit looks fine, half is dimpled. Is this something that I should be concerned about?
Thanks,
Terry
It is recommended that for the first 3 years of a lemon tree's life you remove the fruit. Taking off the fruit allow the plant to put all its energy into growing stronger.
I would leave the healthy fruit and remove all the distorted lemons. The distortion could be due to disease or because tree cannot support that amount of fruit, either way the tree should be happier for their removal.
